Ingredients
- 2 gammon steaks (about 8oz / 227g each)
- 1 tbsp oil; black pepper
- Glaze: 2 tbsp honey, 1 tsp mustard, splash of cider vinegar or orange juice
- 500g new potatoes; butter; parsley; greens to serve
Method
- Boil new potatoes until tender; drain, toss with butter and parsley. Keep warm.
- Pat gammon dry. Heat oil in a pan and fry steaks 3–4 minutes per side until cooked through and lightly caramelised.
- Mix honey, mustard and vinegar. Spoon into the pan; bubble 1–2 minutes until sticky and coating the gammon.
- Rest 2 minutes. Slice or plate whole.
