Chicken steaks, steaklets and Chinese chicken

A chicken steak is simply a chicken breast opened out (butterflied) or bashed thin, so it cooks evenly in a few minutes, like a minute steak. We do not sell ready-made chicken steaklets, but a Chicken Breast 1kg pack opens out into proper chicken steaks at home. For Chinese-style chicken, our Chinese chicken breast comes ready-marinated, alongside garlic and piri-piri chicken.

Yes. We pack chicken in an insulated box and send it across mainland UK. Delivery costs and days are on our delivery page; weekday delivery is free over £85.

Is your chicken fresh or frozen?

Both. Frozen packs say "(Frozen)" or "Previously Frozen" in the name; everything else arrives chilled.

How much chicken per person?

What are chicken steaks?

Chicken breast fillets that have been butterflied or flattened to an even thickness, so they cook quickly like a steak: a few minutes a side in a hot pan, until 75°C in the middle. Buy chicken breast and open it out at home with a sharp knife.

What to serve with chicken steaks?

Chips or wedges, a crunchy salad or coleslaw, rice, flatbreads with garlic yoghurt, corn on the cob, or a peppercorn or mushroom sauce: the same things you would put with a beef steak.

Where do you buy ground chicken?

Ground chicken is chicken mince. We do not stock chicken mince right now (our chicken mince page shows the closest cuts we do stock), but you can make your own by pulsing diced chicken breast in a food processor.
